I am a playwright living and working in New York City. My plays tend to have small casts (six or fewer characters) and uncomplicated sets, making them accessible to smaller theaters with modest resources. Everyone deserves to see good theatre, even — or especially — those whose local theaters don’t have Broadway-sized budgets.
Set on the fictional island of St. Sebastian, “Welcome to Paradise” examines what happens when two peoples’ unexpected and unconventional life choices collide with the comfortable assumptions and well-laid plans of others whose lives they intersect with.
“Welcome to Paradise” had its World Premiere at the Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea, Michigan in 2019. To date it has been performed over 100 times, at regional theaters in both the U.S. and Canada.

On January 1st, 2024, the iconic Walt Disney cartoon “Steamboat Willie” came into the public domain. Produced in 1928, “Steamboat Willie” was one of the very first cartoons produced with synchronized sound, as well as one of the first cartoons to feature a fully post-produced soundtrack. It is considered to be the debut of both Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
In homage to the legendary Mouse, while also taking advantage of this exciting, unprecedented opportunity, I began work on a new stage play, “The Further Adventures of Steamboat Willie.” It’s much too early to share any details, but let’s just say it’s Mickey and Minnie like you’ve never seen them before.
Check back for updates on Willie’s progress.
THEATRE NOW
In 2013 I joined with three other theatre professionals to form Theatre Now, an artists’ service organization that provides intensive, ongoing support and guidance for the creators of new musical theatre. Theatre Now is also the producer of Sound Bites, an annual festival of 10-Minute musicals, now in its 12th year.
ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
In October 2023 I was invited to be Artist in Residence with the Catskills Creative Residency at the Tusten Theater in Narrowsburg, NY, for a week-long workshop and presentation of works-in-progress. This program was supported by and under the auspices of the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance and the New York State Council on the Arts.
TRANSITSTATION
In 2022, I collaborated with the principal development team of transitstation, an international exhibition-as-live-art event featuring performance art, music, theatre, poetry, video, installation, fashion, lectures, workshops and interviews.
